Privacy Policy
This policy covers the public website at thetoycounter.com and The Toy Counter's private internal social-media analytics tools.
1. Who we are
The Toy Counter creates toy-focused social-media content, including unboxings, builds, demonstrations, and play-oriented videos. We also use a private internal application to review performance of content posted to social-media accounts that we own or are authorized to manage.
2. Information collected on this website
At launch, the public website does not provide user accounts, purchases, or public submission forms. We do not intentionally collect names, addresses, payment information, or other directly identifying information from ordinary visitors through this site.
Our hosting provider may process standard technical information necessary to deliver the website, such as IP address, browser information, request logs, and security-related data. That processing is governed by the hosting provider's own terms and privacy practices.
3. Social-media account data
When an authorized social-media account is connected to The Toy Counter's private analytics application, we use official platform authorization flows and APIs. We do not ask for or store the social-media account password.
Depending on the platform and permissions granted, the application may access:
- basic account identifiers and profile information;
- video, Reel, Short, or post identifiers, titles, captions, URLs, durations, and publication times;
- engagement information such as views, likes, comments, shares, saves, or reach;
- platform-provided performance insights such as watch time, average view duration, audience growth, or similar analytics when the platform makes them available.
4. How we use platform data
We use platform data only to operate The Toy Counter's own content workflow and internal analytics. This includes linking the same piece of content across platforms, measuring how posts perform over time, comparing content types, and improving future content decisions.
We do not sell platform data, use it to build advertising profiles about other people, or use connected-account permissions to send messages, publish content, follow accounts, or interact with users unless a future feature is clearly disclosed and separately authorized.
5. Storage and security
Authorization credentials and analytics data are stored in systems controlled by The Toy Counter and are intended only for internal use. We use reasonable technical measures to limit access to these records. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Retention, disconnection, and deletion
Platform access can be revoked through the connected platform's account settings or by disconnecting the account from The Toy Counter's internal application. Revoking access stops future API access, but historical analytics records may remain in our internal records unless they are deleted.
Requests to delete stored account or platform data can be sent to The Toy Counter through our official Instagram account, @thetoycounter. We will use reasonable steps to verify the request before deleting data associated with an authorized account.
7. Children
The Toy Counter publishes toy-related content, but this website is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not intentionally solicit personal information from children through the public website.
8. Third-party platforms
Our content and analytics may involve services such as TikTok, Instagram/Meta, YouTube/Google, and Facebook/Meta. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their handling of information is controlled by those companies, not by The Toy Counter.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website or our analytics tools change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when material updates are made.
10. Contact
For privacy questions or data-deletion requests, contact The Toy Counter through our official Instagram account at @thetoycounter.
